 Brief History of the Company

Our Company is founded in 1994 as M/S Shiv Synthetics ( new name w.e.f. 01.04.2005 is Boron Rubbers India) for the purpose of mainly manufacturing of Rubber Sheeting, rubberized fabrics and rubber matting from Natural and Synthetic Rubbers like Natural, SBR, Nitrile, Neoprene, EPDM, Silicon Etc..in the size of 1 Mtr X 2 mtrs, 4' X 8' and long length from thicknesses 1.5mm to 50mm in black and non-black smooth plate finish or calendar cotton/nylon impregnated finish  with or without cotton/nylon/polyester/glass fiber reinforced sheeting with help of  highly sophisticated machineries and testing equipments and expert technocrats.

We have complete Laboratory Testing Facilities with Testing Equipments like Rheometer, tensile testing machine, aging oven, muffle furnace, specific gravity balance, sieve test, Verniers, Thickness Gauges, and Shore Hardness Testers. And raw material testing facilities to test Raw Materials, Rubber Compounds & Finished Rubber Products in our Plant.

We have made indigenous development of Radiation Shielding Materials like  borated rubber / polyethylene and its allied products in the year 2001. The  company was mooted during the work carried out under a Research and Development Project sponsored by the Bombay Centre of Inter-University Consortium for Department of Atomic Energy Facilities (IUC-DAEF) Bombay. A Beam Line on the nuclear reactor Dhruva is dedicated for R & D Projects to be carried out under IUC-DAEF Projects. Several projects to develop instruments and necessary components are assigned to different well known research groups of the country. One such project was to develop neutron shielding material for the neutron beam guide and other instruments. The project was assigned to the Department of Physics, Bhavnagar University. Fortunately, at the Bhavnagar itself a potential rubber industrialist Mr. Dipak Doshi with full of innovative ideas and enthusiasm was ready to venture in new fields. As a joint effort of the above group- Boronated Rubber was developed which met all the requirement of good shielding material. Subsequently another project was also sponsored by IUC-DAEF to test the technique for mass production and a large number of Boronated rubber sheets having 1m X 1m Size at 3 mm Thickness were produced and all were found to have uniform absorption co-efficient for neutrons.

This success has prompted us to establish a new market which can meet the requirements of national and International demand for nuclear radiation shielding. Such shields characterize by their absorption co-efficient, size, thickness, shape, elasticity, Self Life etc. will be useful and essential for any nuclear instruments. Assembly or for a person exposed to nuclear radiations gloves and approves of this rubber will be useful for handling nuclear chemicals as well as for the nuclear plant operations.

Boronated rubber and other are shielding rubber & polyethylene composite (e.g.. Lead -rubber & plastics composite) are produced in the company's well equipped plant and laboratories augmented by access to the university's research facilities.

The strong research and
development base, which is unusual in such a qualified company, enables a fast response in the development of new shielding materials and products required to meet ever changing technological demands.

Our products are vigilantly supervised at every stage by our skilled technicians under the over all supervision of highly qualified technocrat and they ensure quality products. We have in our trade a reputation second, to none and our manufacturing activities have long stood for quality, integrity and reliability. This fact true expression in the establishment of our firm business relationship with most reputed and well organized, concerns. It is a matter of pride that we have many esteemed clients in our list of Buyers.
